Nongprue Sub-district prepared for the busy holiday season by taking on and training seven new firefighters.
Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department Director Banjong Khumbunka led the Dec. 29 course taught by senior firemen, instructing the new cadets how to handle situations empty-handed, react during emergencies, use fire hydrants, rescue people, and more techniques.
Nongprue wanted to protect residents and visitors, especially during the long New Year’s holiday period, which is why more members were hired on a standby basis and trained properly to support current firefighters.
Many more training sessions will be held regularly to sharpen the skills of the department staff to ensure quality service and reduce the number of potential casualties and damage to private properties.
