Social welfare chief Pattama Chanchiew opened the Nov. 5 seminar organized with the Social Innovation Foundation to help both employers and employees.

Thai law requires businesses with 100 or more employees to hire at least one disabled worker. Speakers Veerachai Veerachantachat and Kanyarat Thepboon told company executives how to comply with the law.

Lectures covered an introduction of organizations and their roles and duties, an explanation of working experiences in the employment system, knowledge exchange about the future of the disabled working in the employment system, reinforcement of health care, money saving, and debt management routines.

Moreover, the seminar taught people with disabilities to work in accordance with the roles given and provide other support as appropriate to make the coordination of employing the disabled in the area to be in accordance with target and procedures for the most benefit of the disabled.
