Nongprue invited Pattaya-area locals to “Shop, Invite & Taste” to bolster residents’ incomes.
Organized by the Social Welfare Department, the July 3 activity at the Nongprue Health Park promoted products made locally ranging from sweets and chili paste to organic vegetables and eggs to clothing and shoes.
Thai Itoh Technological College students also were on hand to provide free oil changes for motorbikes.
Nongprue workers encouraged vendors and shoppers to use biodegradable products made from natural materials and shoppers to bring their own baskets or cloth bags to reduce global warming and garbage.
The “Shop, Invite & Taste” activity will be held on the first Wednesday of every month. Vendors interested in selling products can call 038-933-119 or 038-933-179.
