Not all Pattaya restaurants and bars are closing as required at 11 p.m.
A quick look around Walking Street and Soi Buakhao after 11 p.m. Jan. 24 – the first day booze can again be sold until that hour – found most businesses complied with the law.
However, as usual, a few tried to push their luck, remaining open until being told to shut by police.
Pattaya officials have vowed they will come down heavily on lawbreakers.
