One person was hurt when fire broke out at the Green Tree restaurant in North Pattaya.
Two fire engines responded to the April 16 blaze that began in the kitchen and spread after natural gas cylinders exploded. Firefighters needed about 20 minutes to quell the flames.
Green Tree accountant Surasit Donthanakaisri, 65, suffered burns to his arms battling the fire with an extinguisher as it grew in the kitchen, which was completely destroyed.
He said he was working in his office when he heard an explosion and went to investigate. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
