A Russian man and his Thai wife were arrested for allegedly stealing a Hungarian tourist’s motorbike.
Vladimir Zhulabrev, 26, and Parichart Ninnon, 25, were apprehended June 23 and charged with the theft of a Yamaha Mio owned by Gabor Tamas, 71.
The former physician said he had parked the bike at a condominium on Soi Wat Boonkanchanaram 8. Police used security camera footage to identify the suspects. They also were charged with illicit drug use after failing a urine test.
Additionally, Zhulabrev was found to have overstayed his visa for more than a year.
Police said the Russian confessed to all charges, saying he stole the bike because he needed drug money.
