While Tropical Storm Pabuk never reached Pattaya, it did ground the daily ferry service to Hua Hin.
Although Hua Hin also was spared any impact from the first tropical storm to hit Thailand in 30 years, the storm created large swells across the entire Gulf of Thailand and caused damaging storm surge as far away as Koh Chang.
Service resumed once the storm passed early this week.
