Halloween is here this weekend, and the city is conjuring up a scary parade and costume contest.
Pattaya is cooking up a witch’s brew of parades and contests for its annual Halloween Festival Oct. 30-31.
The 6 million baht event kicks off at 7 p.m. Saturday night, October 30, with a parade along Beach Road from Walking Street to the Hard Rock Hotel. There ghouls and goblins will vie for 150,000 baht in prizes in a Halloween costume contest.
The event is sponsored by the city, Chonburi Province and the Tourism Authority of Thailand in hopes of scaring up additional tourists for the city.
To enter the contest, contact the Pattaya Tourism Department at 038-253-128 or the 1337 Call Center.
