Pattaya School No. 11 met with parents of its youngest students to get them more involved in their children’s education.
The school auditorium was packed Nov. 11 with parents of pupils in grades 1-3.
Such meetings are held each semester to make parents aware of what projects are running now and coming up, and how they will benefit their children. The meeting also gives parents insights on how their youngsters are doing in school and how they can support them.
School officials also shared policies with parents so children can get a better start on their studies or make changes if necessary.
School No. 11 has taken the lead in implementing “do it yourself” programs that get kids out of the classroom to learn via practical lessons and hands-on experience. Group sports also are emphasized to build teamwork. Schools also have spent more effort on getting parents directly involved.
