After July inspection by Deputy Mayor Wuthisak Rermkijakarn intending to increase public parking space in the City Hall building, on Wednesday Aug 24, Pattaya City Mayor Poramet Ngampichet walked around the building to inspect improvements made over the past month.
More parking space for visitors are now beautifully and clearly marked on 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B, 4A, and 4B floors with a total of 6 floors to cater for at least 120 visiting cars. Government officers, staff, and employees of Pattaya City are designated to park their cars from Floor 5A and up only.
Moreover, officials repainted traffic lines and installed guideposts for better safety. Pattaya City Hall’s park building of 10 floors, including the rooftop, can support up to 400 vehicles including spaces for the disabled on 2B, 5B, and 8B floors which have connecting corridors to the main building.
Mayor Poramet said additional public parking floors and spaces are designated for the convenience of the public while stating in no uncertain terms that city staff and employees must strictly comply with the new parking rules or they will be punished. The mayor also urged the public to park in the building instead of double parking outside the building for better flow of ground traffic.
