Somyot Panprasong or SiaYot, 55 was identified as the lawful owner of Mountain B in Sattahip district, Chonburi provinceby Pattaya Provincial Court today (Aug 15) and is now under an arrest warrant. The incident of fatal fireon Friday night of Aug 5 now claimeddeath of 19lives of visitors including the recent loss of 23-year-old mother who left behind her 5-year-old daughter with her mom and also the lead singer who was the father of the girl who died at the scene. Several other severely-burned victims from the fire are now on life support in hospitals.
Somyot, the father of Pongsiri Punprasong, 27, who was earlier released on bail for 300,000 baht on Aug 8, believedto be the actual owner‘Mountain B’.He is charged for causing serious deaths and injuries to others due to negligence and operating the entertainment venue without permission. The court said Somyot used his son’s name in the business operation.
