The Boat Tourism Business Division of Navy Region 1 recently requested that Pattaya to provide a suitable watercraft to allow it conduct patrol missions to ensure marine safety around Koh Khram and Pattaya Bay.

The city decided to give one of its two boats, known as the Mercury 205 No. 18, to the navy for its use. It previously was stationed at Koh Larn.
