PATTAYA, Thailand – The Thai Meteorological Department reports that temperatures are rising across the upper regions of Thailand, with hot and hazy conditions expected during the daytime. However, northeastern areas will still experience cool mornings, while isolated thunderstorms are forecasted for the upper northern and southern regions.

According to the 24-hour weather forecast, a thermal low-pressure system is covering the northern region, while a weakening high-pressure system or cool air mass is lingering over the upper parts of Thailand. These conditions are causing a rise in temperature, leading to hot and hazy weather during the day, though northeastern provinces will remain cool in the morning. Meanwhile, southwesterly winds over the northern region may bring scattered thunderstorms. The department advises residents in the upper parts of Thailand to take precautions against changing weather conditions.

Moderate easterly winds are prevailing over the Gulf of Thailand, the southern region, and the Andaman Sea, leading to isolated thunderstorms in the lower southern provinces. In the lower Gulf of Thailand, moderate waves are expected, with heights ranging from 1 to 2 meters. In areas with thunderstorms, waves could exceed 2 meters. Mariners in affected areas are urged to exercise caution and avoid sailing in stormy conditions.
