Pattaya – Police brought down the hammer on a South Pattaya hotel after it blocked off part of a public road to prohibit parking.
Mayoral advisor Nikom Sangkawe led city regulatory officers to the Boutique Bravo on Soi 17 behind Chaimongkol Temple July 24.
As is the case all over Pattaya, the private business put up barriers in front of its property to prohibit parked cars from blocking the entrance.
Police reminded the hoteliers that the road is public property and their steel gates were illegal. The hotel removed them, marking at least a temporary victory for neighbors who complained to city hall about the encroachment.
