The Pattaya Mail held the annual Songkran ‘Rod Nam Dum Hua’ ceremony April 17 to thank the staff and pay respects to senior members.

Peter Malhotra, MD of the media group, led the management and staff in a ceremony which included praying and bathing the holy image of Lord Buddha before pouring scented lustral water over the hands of veteran journalists and senior executives asking for forgiveness for any wrongdoing during the year, and in response the elders wished them good health, happiness, success and prosperity.

The elders in attendance included Bill Malhotra, Sue Kukarja, Elfi Seitz, Boonlua Chatree, Martin Bilsborrow, Peter Beckel, Chamlong Timsaithong, Peter Malhotra, and Joachim Klemm of GO Property Thailand.

Peter thanked his Pattaya Mail family saying, “This is a historic year, this year we celebrate the 25th anniversary of our publication. Most of you have worked here for at least ten years and some for almost twenty years. We could not have made it this far without your loyalty, commitment and hard work. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.”

Peter asked everyone to “persevere in your work as you are already doing, because by doing so we can achieve what we all are striving for, a brighter and better future for our families, our communities and our country.”

In conclusion Peter called upon all that is holy to bless and grant everyone good health, happiness and prosperity.
