Neighborhood presidents called for more action, and less talk, from Pattaya officials interested in solving community issues at a Center for Resolution of Complaints forum on improving living conditions.
City Councilman Praiwan Arromchuen met with the heads of the Walking Street, Thappraya, Thepprasit, Kophai, Khao Talo, Mabpradu, Nongphangkhae, Wat Bunyakanaram, and Chaiyapruek May 7 at Pattaya School No. 7 to discussed problems and brainstorm solutions.

The majority of problems outlined related to traffic, garbage and crime, with the head of the Khao Talo Community symbolizing the type of micro problems addressed. He said the community wants to see electric and utility cables cleaned up to beautify the community and curved mirrors installed at high-risk corners to improve road safety.
All nine presidents, however, said they wanted to see aggressive action, not just officials showing up to listen to complaints. They suggested city hall group community problems into categories such as financial, social, environmental or cultural, then establish an action plan at the CRC.
