The Provincial Electricity Authority said it will remove the last of empty utility poles from North Road by Dec. 20.
A utility spokesperson said they have already uprooted 226 poles on one side of the street and are now working on the other.
The PEA in March completed relocating power and communications wires from poles to underground, but had left the empty poles in place for months.
