Pattaya public-health workers fanned out across the city this month to offer free checkups and help prevent contagious diseases.
Public Health Director Supaporn Cherdchaiyapumi and Pattaya Deputy Mayor Vichien Pongpanit opened the May 2 outreach effort in the Soi Khopai Community where they were welcomed by neighborhood president Wirat Joyjinda.
In addition to providing health checks and sending ill people to the hospital for treatment, the health staffers offered tips and advice as well as lectures on more-serious diseases.
The healthy roadshow continued May 3 at Pattaya School No. 8 and May 4 at Dongtan Beach.
