PATTAYA, Thailand – Pol. Col. Navin Teerawit, Superintendent of Pattaya City Police Station, together with Nathaphop Yomjinda, Deputy District Chief of Banglamung, led over 50 officers from Pattaya Police Station and Banglamung Administrative Division in a coordinated operation. The team inspected abandoned commercial buildings in the Jomtien area.
This operation followed directives from senior officials to address reports of drug dealing and usage in Jomtien Soi 2 and Soi 3. Local residents had also complained about groups of vagrants, illegal migrants, and drug-related activities in abandoned buildings in the area.
Authorities focused on individuals exhibiting suspicious behavior, including those suspected of drug use, drug dealing, vagrancy, and illegal immigration. Random checks were conducted, and offenders were arrested and prosecuted accordingly.
The operation aims to enhance safety and peace of mind for residents and tourists in Pattaya. Regular inspections and strict enforcement will continue to eliminate illegal activities and improve the city’s image as a safe and welcoming tourist destination.
