Pattaya celebrated World Environment Day by releasing 15,000 Asian sea bass into the sea.
Deputy Mayor Pattana Boonsawad presided over the June 5 event in Jomtien Beach with city and neighborhood leaders, students, hotel employees and the public.
Other activities were organized to teach the importance of protecting the marine environment, such as trash disposal and recycling and not dumping garbage into sewers.
