A South Pattaya temple stinking up its neighborhood with the smell of cremating corpses is asking for donations to repair its odor filters.
Pisan Jariyakorn, abbot of Thamsamakee Temple, said the filtration system is old and broken down, allowing the smell of burning flesh and bones to waft over neighboring homes and businesses.
He said the repairs are expensive and beyond the temple’s means. He asked temple members and neighbors to donate to replace the system.
