The Provincial Electricity Authority upgraded power lines on Third Road to prevent brown- and blackouts.
Foreman Paiboon Chantarin led a team to the intersection of Chalermprakiat 2/2 Nov. 9 to begin replacing existing cables with 185-kilovolt lines and install supporting equipment.
He said the project will take about a month to cover all of Third Road.
The work comes after complaints about frequent power shortages. It’s also part of the PEA’s long-running program to upgrade electrical-grid capacity across the city.
While there, the workers also tidied up the jumbles of power and utility lines.
