Sattahip farmers got vital lessons in crop growing and running a business at an Agriculture Ministry mobile clinic in Plutaluang.

Deputy Mayor Chanchai Iamcharoen opened the March outreach at sub-district’s office. The mobile clinic aimed to provide service and key knowledge to farmers from the ministry and related agencies.

Pongsak Eimduang, director of Chonburi’s Agricultural Ministry extension office, said the clinic featured booths offering help on soy, plants, livestock, fisheries, accounting, irrigation, law and co-operatives.

Chanchai said the ministry has the important tasks of researching and developing plant varieties and technologies and passing research results to farmers to improve production and solve problems.

Normally, the ministry sends out representatives to do training and address pest outbreaks. Mobile clinics allow the ministry to meet with many farmers at the same time and bring in supporting agencies to provide better service, he said.
