Police from four area stations will be posted around Pattaya for the next week to control traffic, prevent violence and assist tourists during Songkran.
Deputy Mayor Vichien Pongpanit met with representatives from Chonburi, Pattaya, Banglamung and Nongprue police stations April 7, as well as medics from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation.
Authorities will be positioned around the areas were the most fervent water play occurs to respond to incidents and facilitate tourists, he said.
