The Najomtien Police Station officially opened a new police box in the Baan Eua-Arthorn Community.

Sattahip District Chief Anucha Intasorn presided over the Sept. 10 grand opening at the National Housing Authority development with Najomtien police chief, Pol. Col. Athorn Chinthong.

The substation will be managed by Pol. Col. Arthorn Chinthong with a mission to better patrol the public-housing complex where 4,000 people live in 96 buildings.

The low-income neighborhood is rife with crime, especially drugs. Thus, five government agencies contributed funds to open a patrol base to reduce the amount of petty crime and drug sales.
