Pattaya police are investigating a social media report of an attempted gold snatch on a deserted central Pattaya sidestreet.
Rather than go to police, the Facebook user posted on Facebook to warn others and garner sympathy and likes.
The user described a chubby man around 30 trying to grab a gold necklace while both were on motorbikes by Tantarak School on Soi Yumei.
The poster crashed, but the necklace and amulet was spared from theft.
