Police chief orders taxis to vacate Jomtien police kiosk

Pattaya Police Chief Pol. Col. Supathee Bungkhrong has ordered taxi drivers in Jomtien to stop using the Dongtan police kiosk as a taxi stand.

The AIA Company recently donated a covered police box to keep officers shaded while on duty.  However, local taxi drivers have taken over the kiosk and turned it into a waiting and storage area.

The roof of the booth is made in the shape of the police helmet, whilst the badge of the Royal Thai Police is displayed prominently on front. The kiosk contains 4 seats and is meant to provide officers with a rest area whilst on duty.

Pol. Col. Supathee has instructed the taxi drivers to clear out there belongings and cease parking on the Dongtan curve, as this also causes traffic problems.
