Police are appealing to the public to help locate the relatives of an elderly woman found wandering in Sattahip.
Somkid Pandeeying, 75, was brought to the Sattahip Naval Hotel by Wicha Jindanil, 35, who found her walking the streets in distress Aug. 1. He gave her food and water and called police.
The Nakhon Pathom native claimed she had been homeless for years and slept outside at night. But she also appeared to be suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and was too feeble to walk far on her own.
Authorities suspect she wandered away from either a nursing home or relative’s house.
Until relatives can be located, she was transferred to the Banglamung Home for the Elderly for care.
