Police are searching for a Pattaya karaoke bar employee accused of raping a 19-year-old Phetchabun woman.
The victim filed a complaint with police Nov. 29 that a man she knows only as “Kot” raped her in her South Pattaya apartment then fled into Rungland Village. She gave officers a photo of her attacker.
The woman knows her assailant from the Dern Karaoke Bar on Soi Korphai. She also was accused by another woman, identified only as “Naen,” of flirting with Kot, whom Naen fancied.
The victim told police that Naen had illegally entered her room after duping a maid into giving her a room key. The two got into an argument over Kot, who suddenly appeared at the room.
Naen left, the victim said, but Kot did not and forced himself on her.
Investigators sent her to the hospital for a rape exam and are now seeking an arrest warrant for the bar worker.
