Police suspect the burglary of a central Pattaya tailor shop was an inside job.
Kishore J. Pawani, 38, called police Sept. 12 after opening his shop and discovering it had been burglarized overnight. Lost was 130,000 baht, 200,000 Indian rupees and a 24,000 baht computer.
Kishore told police he had closed the shop normally at 10 p.m. the previous evening but, as usual, did not pull down the metal security shutters, since he said he’d never been robbed. Employees found the glass door unlocked the next morning.
Kishore J. Pawani files a report with police after his tailor shop was burgled.
Police said there was no evidence of forced entry and they recovered two keys, but no fingerprints, next to the door. Thus, they assume an employee or someone Kishore knew well had used keys to enter after business hours and rob him.
