Police arrested four people allegedly using a central Pattaya dress shop as a front for an illegal football betting operation.
Chonburi Provincial Police raided the Thip Fashion boutique on Soi Daend-Dum Aug. 16, arresting Somsak Srisawat, 38; Thipawan Laodee, 32; Phitphat Phetkon, 32; and Satayakorn Chupkhunthod, 19. Investigators seized betting records, bank books, fax machines, calculators, and other documents.
Police raid the upstairs betting salon above the Thip Fashion boutique in central Pattaya.
Officers claimed Somsak confessed to using the second floor above the fashion outlet to manage his football bookie business with his girlfriend Thipawan and employing the younger two men to assist them.
Somsak allegedly said he’d begun the betting business as his clothing shop was doing poorly.
