Pong Sub-district erected signs to wish HM the King a happy 65th birthday, his first on the throne.

The signs put up around the area July 25 showed HM King Maha Vajiralongkorn alongside his mother, HM Queen Sirikit. Royal insignia flags and a Thai national flag completed the arrangement.

The signs for the King’s July 28 birthday were ordered by the Ministry of Interior, which directed municipalities to openly celebrate the new monarch’s birthday.

Various provinces held exhibitions and celebrations from July 24-31 to show loyalty to HM the King. Meanwhile, government and private businesses joined to conduct activities such as planting trees, making merit and conserving wildlife as a sign of loyalty as well.
