Nursery school teachers and day-care center leaders gained help in developing early-childhood educational curriculums in line with international standards during a seminar in Pattaya.
Deputy Mayor Wattana Chantanawaranon and City Councilman Farooq Wongborisuthi led the Feb. 9-10 workshop at the Town in Town Hotel aimed at brining Pattaya preschools in line with other members of the coming ASEAN Economic Community.
Day-care providers, nursery-school teachers, primary-school teachers, educational personnel, and relevant officials attended the seminar.
Education Department Deputy Director Supranee Jinda briefed the day-care providers, nursery-school teachers, primary-school teachers, educational personnel, and relevant officials on the goals of the training.
Attendees included staff from the Wat Chaimongkol Nursery School and the Child Development Center at Darul Ibadah Mosque, as well as teachers of young children from Pattaya public schools.
Training focused on teaching and instructional organization, disseminating knowledge and experience on curriculum development, plus a lecture from Maitree Soonthornwon on planning for the AEC in schools.
The group then took a field trip from Feb. 11-14 to preschools and day-center centers in Phetchabun and Nakhon Sawan provinces.
