Chonburi police dispersed groups of people congregating on Jomtien Beach amid coronavirus restrictions.
Deputy police chief Pol. Col. Mekawit Praditpol led a squad of officers on an inspection of entertainment venues and other businesses ordered closed by the province, as well as the beaches.
No businesses were found to be open illegally, but scattered groups were sitting on the beach eating, playing music, singing and drinking in violation of rules banning alcohol on the sand.
Officers educated the offenders on the rules and sent them home.
