Gas station operator PTT joined with Chonburi Province to launch a safe-driving campaign for Songkran.
Anothai Ritthipanyawong of the National Reform Steering Assembly and Chonburi Gov. Pakarathorn Thienchai announced the program March 25 at Nong Nooch Tropical Garden with PTT deputy sustainability director Wittawat Sawadi-Chuto.
He said PTT stations and Amazon Coffee shops will promote the “Three good things and 20 bad things to get you home safely”. The campaign highlights the 20 most-common factors in road accidents.
The oil giant also has produced a new heart-tugging television commercial to raise awareness about the need for better road safety featuring a story line of a young boy killed in a car wreck.
The local leaders said PTT chose Chonburi for its pilot program due to the large number of personal, industry and tourist vehicles using roads here.
Wittawat noted that PTT always has worked to cut road accidents, training gas station employees to check engines and other vehicle conditions during the Songkran period.
