The Provincial Waterworks Authority launched an emergency operation to redirect water-supply pipes on Soi Siam Country Club after roadwork delays left area homes dry for two days.
A project that was supposed to start and finish on Feb. 1 didn’t, leaving Soi Prapanimit-area homes without water.
Crews were brought in after a raft of resident complaints to lay new pipes away from the dug-up street. The roadwork also disrupted half-meter-wide water-supply lines that feed Central Road, Walking Street and Soi Buakhao.
All of Soi Siam Country Club is being rebuilt for 3.4 kilometers in a 67-million-baht job that began in January last year and isn’t slated for completion until late-March.
11.50 meter wide road, 25cm thick and a length of 3,400 meters. The contract began in January 2016 and is estimated to complete within 435 days under a 67,085,000 baht budget.
