PATTAYA, Thailand – Chairman of the Pattaya City Council, Banlue Kullavanit, chaired a meeting to clarify business operation guidelines for the food industry in Pattaya with food business operators, and relevant officials.

With the increasing number of foreign tourists and expatriates, especially from India, Indian restaurants have been rapidly expanding in Pattaya. However, some establishments have been found operating without proper licenses and failing to comply with food hygiene regulations under the Public Health Act of 1992. Additionally, certain businesses have not met the required training standards for food handlers as mandated by ministerial regulations.


During the meeting, Pattaya City officials provided guidance on proper food business operations, emphasizing compliance with hygiene standards and licensing requirements. Authorities also encouraged restaurant owners to adopt environmentally friendly practices to enhance Pattaya’s image and maintain high food safety standards in the city’s tourism industry.
