Thailand’s regional immigration chief inspected the bureau’s Chonburi headquarters to evaluate the office’s preparedness for the year-end holidays.
Pol. Maj. Gen. Sitichai Loganpai was welcomed to the Jomtien Beach office Dec. 19 by Superintendent Pol. Col. Srongprode Sirisuka.
The two toured the office, meeting with department heads to get updates on completed and ongoing operations.
Sitichai said he was pleased with the work the Pattaya-area office has accomplished in 2017, calling it a role model for immigration offices nationwide and pointing to numerous high-profile arrests.
