Residents, local media discuss Chonburi reconciliation

Chonburi’s Public Relations Department brought together local residents and media to discuss promotion of policies from Thailand’s military regime aimed at reconciling the country’s divided political factions.

Duangmal Sreekitviliakul, director of the Chanthaburi Public Relations Office Region 7, presided over the Sept 4 meeting at the Technology Transfer Center 3 in Chonburi.

Theerapong Sodasree, an advisor to the Prime Minister’s Office, discussed guidelines to promotion reconciliation and reform. The objective is to get local persons and entities to spread policies pronounced by the National Council for Peace and Order. Such policies cover topics such as respecting rights, forgiveness, unity, abiding by the law, and helping society.

The meeting closed with an update from Chonburi officials on their efforts to promote reconciliation. Speaking were Pol. Col. Yungyut Khorndork, along with Wanchai Jungjratphu of Chonburi’s governance committee and Pol. Lt. Veerasak Suaylhuk from the committee’s civil division network.
