PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya police swiftly responded to a peculiar incident at the Grand Condominium intersection on Thappraya-Jomtien Road in the early hours of November 9. The alert came following reports of a middle-aged man, clad in a yellow round-neck shirt, shorts, and without shoes, displaying unusual behavior. Witnesses observed the man exhibiting erratic conduct—crying, laughing, speaking incoherently, and making peculiar gestures, all while claiming to have encountered a terrifying female ghost.
Uthanwan Thanwan, a 42-year-old security guard at a nearby condominium, was drawn to the scene by loud screams. There, he discovered the distressed man, a resident from the 14th floor, expressing fear of encountering a terrifying female ghost. The man’s abnormal facial expressions and eyes heightened concerns for his well-being. Worried for his safety, Uthanwan followed the man to the intersection in his security vehicle, promptly alerting authorities for assistance.
Local residents, witnessing the man’s distress, attempted to aid him through spiritual rituals involving holy water and chanting. Unfortunately, these efforts proved ineffective until the police arrived. Taking charge of the situation, Pol. Sgt. Yutthakorn Matchima used water to perform a purification ritual, resulting in an immediate improvement in the man’s condition.
The man, who attributed his unease to a ghostly encounter, underwent police questioning. Regaining composure, he revealed his local residence. In light of concerns for his well-being, the police offered to safely escort him home.
The incident left onlookers astonished, with speculation circulating about the supernatural nature of the encounter, leaving a sense of wonder among those who bore witness to the inexplicable events of that night.
