A Russian man died after apparently drowning off Pattaya Beach.
Aleksei Khokhoy, 60, was pulled to shore near Central Road and given CPR, but to no avail.
Witnesses told police that they saw the man swimming for quite some time but he then went missing. Several hours later, somebody spotted the man’s body floating in the sea so they swam out to retrieve him but it was too late.
The body was sent for a forensic examination and the Russian embassy was notified.
