A Russian fugitive wanted back home on fraud charges was captured hiding out in Pattaya by immigration police.
Valery Chabanov, 62, was picked up at his Reflection condo unit in Jomtien Beach by Chonburi Immigration Office police Feb. 4 acting on a tip from the Russian embassy.

The suspect at first presented a passport showing his name as Lajos Igyarto, but officers weren’t fooled and took him in for processing and a handover to Russian embassy authorities.
