Russian hurt by hit-and-run driver in Sattahip

A Russian man was injured after he was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Sattahip.

Maksim Sergeev, 47, suffered cuts to the legs and body and broken bones in the Feb. 17 accident near the 173-kilometer marker on Sukhumvit Road. He was taken to Queen Sirikit Naval Medical Center for treatment.

Witness Natthachai Sangsri said Sergeev, towing luggage behind him, was crossing Sukhumvit Road when he was hit the by the black car in front of him. The car stopped for a moment then sped away. Natthachai stopped to render assistance, but did not catch the license plate of the hit-and-run driver.
