Sailors clean coastal towns for Navy Day

About 200 sailors commemorated Navy Day by cleaning up Sattahip coastal areas with the help of residents and student volunteers.

Rear Adm. Wasan Boonuang led the troops of the Nawik Yotin Battle Squadron to coastal villages, cleaning the roads, removing rubbish on the beach and performing other environmental improvements.

The sailors stressed that the villages will only remain clean if residents cooperate and help one another to maintain the tidiness of the area.

The cleaning campaign was also aimed at raising the awareness of residents to dispose their rubbish in designated bins and areas. This also includes water sources that need attention.
