Sattahip rolled out government services to beachfront communities as part of its ongoing “Smile Mobile” outreach program.
Top local officials kicked off the service March 8 in front of the Sattahip Land Office with Permanent Secretary Rungroj Onnwong, members of the Sattahip Red Cross, village chiefs, and community leaders.
Rungroj said the government has the responsibility to push for progress for local citizens and organized the mobile service to provide such treatment as tooth removal, requests for constructing buildings, tax payments, haircuts, oil changes for motorbikes, vaccinations, eye exams and providing glasses.
Narong said all the services were free and save people time in not having to venture to government offices for service.
Government services visit a different community each month to provide government and health-care services.
Free eye exams are part of the Sattahip mobile unit’s services offered to the community.
