Sattahip police have busted up a small ring that allegedly dealt drugs in the Soi Khaomakok area, arresting five people and seizing hundreds of methamphetamine tablets.
Nutchjuree Noo-eim, 28, in Huay Yai was captured July 11 after she was caught in a police sting operation in Huay Yai the night before. Cornered by officers, she smashed her way through five cars to escape before being captured in the bushes alongside Soi Khaomakok 1/3.
Nutchjuree was ratted out, police said, by Chanpen Jupoj, 63, who was caught earlier with 300 ya ba tablets and a half-gram of crystal meth.
Authorities convinced Chanpen to place an order for 200 more tablets with Nutchjuree and have her deliver them. Officers were lying in wait when she arrived. In her car, police found 678 speed pills.
One officer was hurt in the chase, requiring 10 stitches.
During Nutchjuree’s interrogation, she allegedly gave up the names of three alleged gang members, police said: Natawan Ninprapai, 27, Prakarn Hunsap, 27, and Samart Muangcharoen, 26.
They were captured July 13. No drugs were found on them, but all failed drugs tests and were booked for illegal narcotics use.
Authorities believe Nutchjuree’s gang were minor players in the district and are pressing the suspects to give up the name of the major supplier providing them the ya ba.
