A man was in critical condition after being hit by a runaway driver on Sukhumvit Road in Sattahip.
The unidentified victim was being treated at Queen Sirikit Naval Medical Center Feb. 7 as police search for relatives. The identity of the hit-and-run driver is unknown.
Rescue workers tend to the victim in the middle of Sukhumvit Highway.
Witnesses said the victim was crossing Sukhumvit near the 700 Rai Market when a black car hit him and kept speeding toward Pattaya. Police recovered car parts at the scene and are examining closed-circuit television footage to identify the car.
