Sattahip rolled out government services in Taothan as part of its “Smile Mobile” outreach program.

Mayor Phawat Lertmukda kicked off the service Oct. 26 at Thepprasit Temple with Lt. Col. Prakorb Saengpring, deputy suppression superintendent at the Sattahip Police Station, members of the Sattahip Red Cross, village chiefs, and community leaders.

Phawat said the higher living expenses, inflation, unemployment and crime have posed problems for residents and the Smile Mobile program was created to ease concerns.

Bureaucrats also provided services on taxes, cultivation, and livestock. Housewives and the disabled offered locally made products for sale and the Red Cross distributed relief bags to the poor and disabled.
