Three days after a fake bomb was found on the side of Highway 332 in Bang Saray, a second bogus device turned up near the same location.

Police and district officials again responded Aug. 23 after reports that a box with protruding wires and taped sticks of what some thought were TNT were seen near the entrance to Khao Krathing.

The Explosive Ordnance Disposal team was called and 10 sailors from the Sattahip Naval Base responded to provide security.

Lt. Ubon Klonsri, head of the EOD, recovered the supposed bomb and confirmed it was made up of 4 yellow PVC pipes, wrapped with black tape and had wires, made to look like a bomb.

Lt. Ubon Klonsri risks life and limb to ensure the bomb is either diffused, or determined to be a fake. Luckily it was the latter.Lt. Ubon Klonsri risks life and limb to ensure the bomb is either diffused, or determined to be a fake.  Luckily it was the latter.

On Aug. 20, a brown paper box with five tubes made from PVC pipe sticking out of it was reported near a Highway 332 utility pole. Sattahip police responded, inspected and removed the device.
