Police are trying to determine how a senile Najomtien woman died on the breakwater at Ban Amphur Beach.
The naked body of Kurwan Sanitrach, 67, was at the base of the three-meter-tall wall opposite the Sinuan restaurant July 19. She had suffered a broken neck and head wound. There was no sign she had been attacked and only a red umbrella was found near the body.
The victim’s nephew, Nikorn Sanitrach, 38, said Kurwan had been suffering from Alzheimer’s disease for several years. She went missing about 11 p.m. the night before and neighbors reported seeing her walking naked through the streets.
A search party, however, failed to find her.
The body was sent for a forensics examination to determine a cause of death and whether she had been molested.
